Yeah!!! Got to sleep in 'til 11 AM with my little Squirt today. After
we finally roll out of bed we shared a couple bowls of Coco Pebbles,
the only thing in the house–ran out of Frosted Mini Wheats. We were
being lazy on the couch together and channel surfing. Then, out of no
where Kai gets up to give me a long, tight hug. That made my day.
After that it was off to Grandma's again because I had to go to work
and Mommy had a meeting. AND to my pleasant surprise I was treated to
another long hug before leaving my baby boy to go to work.

Well that's it for blogging while riding the work bus home late at
night.

Tonight I really wanted to get some work done on the computer. I was
watching Kai play too. He was having fun for a while but started
getting fussy. I decided to leave the computer alone. So I picked him
up and we relaxed together on the couch. He seemed to enjoy it, me
too. We sat together watching Mommy's TV show for a while.

Unfortunately, he accidentally got hurt rough housing with Mommy after
that. I was able to calm him down and he drank a bottle while sitting
on my lap. After he was done he made himself comfortable against my
chest and in no time at all he was asleep.

When he fell asleep on me like that it made me so happy that I left
the computer alone and had some quality time with him.

Kai at one day old.

We just got back from the movies. We took Kai to go see Madagascar Escape 2 Africa. We had Amber, cousins Britney and Papa there too. The best part is that he was able to follow the movie. I enjoyed watching his expressions more than the movie We had lots of popcorn and nachos too so it was good times. The first time at the movies he saw Ironman but he slept most of the time. I think he enjoyed this time a lot more.

Back in the day (when Mommy was pregnant) I got to pick the baby name. It wasn’t easy but I finally decided on Kai–a Hawaiian name that means ocean or sea. I think it is a very cool name.

Well, I guess that’s it for late night blogging–I’m tired.

Here are a few great photos of Kai before this blog started. A couple were from the first day when we were still in the hospital. I still remember changing his first diaper, with grandma’s close supervision of course. He was so tiny, 6 lbs 12 oz to be exact.
