Christmas eve was a long day but a good one. I worked late that day and didn’t get home until about 11:40 pm. Mommy was already asleep. When I got home I had to put together Kai’s Christmas present, a Power Wheel jeep. Assembling it was easy enough but then I had to put all the decals all over it. I didn’t finish until about 3:00 am Christmas morning. I had to work early the next morning so I got only two hours sleep. It was fun putting together my boy’s Christmas toy while he slept though. We didn’t get any pictures on Christmas day but I will get some with his new toys.

Yesterday was a good day too. We had a nice little family bar-b-que in the evening. Just a couple pieces of chicken and a couple steaks. I took care of the grill, well Kai helped too. He liked seeing the charcoal glow in the grill. Mommy took care of the flour tortillas, potato salad and the always popular mac and cheese. After we eat we watched a little TV.

Probably the best part of the night was bedtime. While watching TV Kai climbed up on top of me and we started playing a little bit. It wasn’t long before he was lying down on my stomach so I started to pat him on the back and he fell asleep right on top of me. I think that is only the second time that has happened. Even though I am tired a lot of nights I love putting him to sleep.

Well I’ve been lazy lately–I just set up the Christmas Tree tonight, all by myself. Usually we would have it up by Thanksgiving Day. Everyone’s been asleep so I had to do it on my own. Mommy’s a little under the weather so hopefully she feels better tomorrow. So far I only got the Christmas lights up. Gotta find the rest of the decorations tomorrow. Its about time for my usual ritual I’ve done for the last couple night, staying up late channel surfing and drinking some great coffee.

Oh, Kai has been learning to eat all on his own now. Yesterday and today he insists on sitting in his own chair and feeding himself. Yesterday it was curry vegetable rice with stew chicken and today it was one of our personal favorites, mac and cheese, that’s always a crowd pleaser.

It’s been a great couple days off. Got some errands done including being Santa’s little helper today (picked up some gifts). Finally got to clean the car today to and give Cassie a much needed bath, poor girl.

Yeah!! Kai peed in the toilet like a big boy for the first time today. Guess we gotta start potty training now.

We just got back from the movies. We took Kai to go see Madagascar Escape 2 Africa. We had Amber, cousins Britney and Papa there too. The best part is that he was able to follow the movie. I enjoyed watching his expressions more than the movie We had lots of popcorn and nachos too so it was good times. The first time at the movies he saw Ironman but he slept most of the time. I think he enjoyed this time a lot more.
